ENG Preserving and improving the caliber of existing hair with therapy and adding what is missing with hair transplantation: the apparent simplicity of this axiom often leads surgeons and patients to hasty choices, while surgery should be the last step in the articulating treatment path. This report aims to use different success and failure stories for a reminder of the careful planning of hair interventions. ITA Preservare e migliorare il calibro dei capelli esistenti con la terapia e aggiungere ciò che manca con il trapianto di capelli: l'apparente semplicità di questo assioma porta spesso chirurghi e pazienti a scelte affrettate, mentre la chirurgia dovrebbe essere l'ultimo passo nell'articolato percorso di cura. Questo rapporto si propone di utilizzare diverse storie di successo e non successo per un richiamo all'attenta progettazione degli interventi tricologici.
